Will iPhone 5 come in China?

hey reader their is strong rumours circulating that china Telcom has agreed to be the carrier of the two new versions of iPhone – the iPhone 5 and a “simplified iPhone 4”. This is according to a new analyst report that was released this month.

Brian White, an analyst from Ticonderoga Securities, reported to investors that there is an upcoming deal between China Telecom and Apple. He also added that the carrier might release both the iPhone 5 and “a more economical” version of the iPhone 4, which could help Apple to reach out to the needs of developing countries such as China. He stated that this deal could present an opportunity that could reach up to $30 billion. He also predicted that the cheaper version of the iPhone 4 will expand the carrier’s revenue to over $200 billion.

In June 2011, Apple observed an increase of 600 percent in China Telecom’s second quarter revenue for 2011. Sources say that this might be the reason why the carrier won the deal. Tim Cook, Apple’s COO (Chief Operating Officer), said that the corporation is “just scratching the surface” of this opportunity in China. This means that they are neither denying nor confirming anything and we just have to wait until they are ready present us with facts about this new innovation in the near future.
In July 2011, an advisory claimed that China Telecom would begin selling the new versions of iPhone before the end of the year, possibly in November. Meanwhile, leaked photos suggest that the network’s rival, China Mobile, will release the new iPhone earlier. These were pictures of Tim Cook allegedly visiting the China Mobile headquarters. Apple however opted not to comment about this speculation.
As of the moment, Apple still has not released any official statements regarding the launch of the iPhone 5 and the “simplified iPhone 4.”
