The news comes from a purported reliable source, who preferred to remain anonymous: a reputable top executive from an Asian electronics accessories company, who seems to have heard about Apple’s plans from a top distributor in China.
The anonymous has leaked the information to iphone5newsblog.com, writing in an email “Heard from one of distributors today, they are quite confirmed that Apple will announce iPhone 4Gs, iPod Touch white, and iPad Pro next month. Take it as a reference. I think they should be reliable.”
Still, the leaker admitted it was only a rumor, and not a certified information. The name of the iPhone could suggest different things: it undoubtedly means that Apple’s upcoming smartphone would be capable of 4G connectivity; it might also mean that it would be an upgraded version of iPhone 4, maintaining the former’s form factor; the ‘s’ in ‘4Gs’ could stand for speed, hinting to an enhancement, probably the A5 processor that is rumored to power the new device.
