Details regarding the features and specifications of Apple’s new device, the so-called iPhone 5, are still lacking. But most important for the people who are waiting eagerly for the launch of Apple’s iPhone 5, the release date remains a mystery.
There are some websites and blogs already recommending people to sell their iPhone 4in order to be ready to buy the imminent iPhone 5.
The release date for the new iPhone has sparked much speculation lately. Rumors are the iPhone 5 will probably be available for sale on October 7 or October 14. If the iPhone 5 is released on October 7, it means that the pre-orders for iPhone 5 should start around September 30. With the expectation that the release of a new product would normally be announced weeks before the official market launch date, Apple fans are starting to wonder if October really is the launch month for iPhone 5.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple is set to build and ship more than 30 million of its next-generation iPhone handsets by the end of the year. This might be plausible taking into account the rumors regarding pre-orders for the new iPhone. Rumors that pre-orders for iPhone 5 are available were launched a few weeks ago.
Concerned by supply bottlenecks at the launch of the new iPhone, companies have been supposedly taking pre-orders for the new iPhone. If Kuo is right and Apple will manage to deliver 30 million iPhone 5 handsets to users around the world before the end of the 2011, this could be a new record for Apple. But the clock is ticking and there is still no official release date for the new iPhone. With October just a few days away, there are reasons to doubt that October will be the launch month for iPhone5.
The mid of October is even more plausible as SpeakDollars reports that New York Times is confident in seeing iPhone 5 launched in the next month. Are we really that close?
